Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 23, 2026

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Paix Money ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our personal finance application (the "Service"). We built Paix Money on a simple principle: your financial data belongs to you. We do not sell your data, and we do not show you ads.

2. Information We Collect

Account information: your name, email address, password (stored in hashed form), and optional profile details such as a display name, birthday, and profile picture.

Financial data you provide: budgets, transactions you enter or import, account balances, debts, assets, savings goals, life events, and planning assumptions. We only receive the data you choose to enter or paste into the Service — we do not connect directly to your bank.

Payment information: subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number; we retain only a customer reference, your subscription plan, and billing status.

Usage information: basic technical data such as device type, browser, and interactions with the Service, used to keep the Service secure and improve it.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to operate the Service: to store and display your budgets and reports, generate financial projections, process AI-powered features you request (such as plan summaries and what-if analysis), manage your subscription, provide support, and secure the Service against fraud and abuse.

When you use AI-powered features, relevant parts of your plan data are sent to our AI processing providers solely to generate the response you requested. This data is not used to train their models.

4. What We Do Not Do

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal or financial data. We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers. We do not use your financial data for marketing purposes.

5. Sharing Within Your Account

If you invite another person (such as a partner) to your account, they will be able to view and edit the financial data stored in that shared account. Only invite people you trust with this information.

6. Service Providers

We rely on a small number of service providers to operate the Service: cloud hosting and database infrastructure, Stripe for payment processing, email delivery for account-related messages, and AI providers for the features described above. These providers process data only on our behalf and are bound by contractual confidentiality obligations.

7. Data Security

Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to production data is restricted, and account access is protected by authentication with support for email verification. No system is perfectly secure, so we encourage you to use a strong, unique password.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the settings page, which permanently removes your account and its financial data from our systems, subject to limited retention required by law (for example, billing records).

9. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise most of these rights directly in the Service, or by contacting us. We will respond to requests within the timeframes required by applicable law.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service or by email before the changes take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision.

12. Contact

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your data, please contact us through the Service.
