1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Paix Money (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. We may update these terms from time to time; continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

2. Description of the Service

Paix Money is a personal finance application that provides budgeting tools, transaction tracking, reporting, and long-term financial planning projections. The Service is provided for personal, non-commercial use.

Paix Money is software, not a financial advisor, investment advisor, tax advisor, legal advisor, broker, lender, or fiduciary. The Service is a planning and organizational tool only and does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. You are solely responsible for your financial decisions and should consult a qualified professional before making significant financial decisions.

Budgets, reports, projections, what-if scenarios, calculations, recommendations, and AI-generated insights are estimates generated from the information and assumptions you provide. They may contain errors, omissions, inaccuracies, or miscalculations, and actual results will differ. You must independently review and verify all outputs before relying on them.

3. Accounts and Registration

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.

You may invite other people (such as a partner) to share your account. You are responsible for the people you invite, and they will have access to the financial data stored in your shared account.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

Access to the Service requires a paid subscription, billed monthly or annually through our payment processor, Stripe. Prices are shown at checkout and may change with notice; changes apply at your next renewal.

Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You may cancel at any time through the subscription settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you retain access until then. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable, including for partial billing periods.

5. Your Data and Content

You retain ownership of the financial data and other content you enter into the Service. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display that content solely to operate and improve the Service for you.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter. The quality of budgets, reports, and projections depends on the information you provide.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service. This includes attempting to access other users' data, reverse engineering the Service, using it for unlawful purposes, interfering with its operation, reselling access, or using automated systems to scrape or overload the Service.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, complete, or that any calculation, budget, projection, recommendation, scenario, or AI-generated insight will be accurate, suitable, or produce a particular result.

Paix Money is not responsible for any loss, decision, action, or outcome resulting from inaccurate, incomplete, delayed, or miscalculated information or projections generated by or entered into the Service.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Paix Money and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, savings, investments, opportunity, or data, arising from your use of the Service — including decisions or actions based on budgets, calculations, projections, scenarios, recommendations, or AI-generated insights, whether or not those outputs are inaccurate or miscalculated. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms or if required by law. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends, and we may delete your data after a reasonable retention period.

10. Changes to the Service

We may modify, add, or remove features of the Service at any time. If a change materially reduces the core functionality of your paid subscription, you may cancel and, at our discretion, receive a prorated refund for the unused portion of your billing period.
